46 Carlton Road- Dodges Ferry is a popular holiday beachside location in which many people have taken up local residency because it is only 30 minutes to the Hobart CBD and only 10 minutes from Sorell. Our property at Dodges Ferry is a good place to stay if you are visiting Port Arthur, Sorell any of the local towns and the South Eastern beaches. It is bounded by Lewisham and Carlton Beach and the friendly and the friendly relaxed community will welcome you. This fully appointed, self contained, 3 bedroom house is suitable for short or long term stays. Cosy, year round comfort is provided by a reverse cycle, quiet inverter heating & cooling system. The main bedroom has an ensuite, queen bed, feather doona, plush woollen underlay and electric blanket to ensure you'll always have a warm, comfortable sleep. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds, quality innerspring mattresses and woollen doonas. The third bedroom is furnished with a double bed, quality innerspring mattress and doona. All 3 bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. It has Barbeque and outdoor facilities setting for your pleasure. Entertain and relax with over 40 square metres of decking facing north for maximum sun. 46 Carlton Road- Dodges Ferry has a short stroll to Blue Lagoon & Red Ochre Beach which is safe for swimming. A further 10 minutes walking and you will arrive at Park Beach and Carlton Beach, locally famous for their surf with surf lifesaving patrols during summer. If it is windy at one beach, it will be protected at another. Enjoy beautiful evening beach walks. There is also a boat ramp just down the road.

Bookings To make a booking please just email us and we will quote you and ask you to either pay by direct deposit us or fax back a credit card authorisation. Please be warned a booking is not firm until a deposit is paid and the booking is confirmed by us as we also subscribe to several online booking systems. Check in and Check outCheck in is after 2pm. Check out is prior to 10am. Please phone us when you arrive so we can meet you. When you leave all doors and windows must be closed and locked, heating/cooling turned off and keys left on the dinning table unless otherwise arranged with the owner or letting agent. Should you find you have accidently taken your keys with you please contact us straight away. |

Indicative Discounted Rates (subject to change without notice)
Our current discounted rates for 2 people are 20% under rack rate. Normally the minimum stay is 2 nights and during peak periods 3 or more. One night stays are at our discretion and may attract an additional fee. Cleaning fees may be charged if our properties are left in a mess or for shorter stays at our discretion. Discounts may also be offered for longer stays. Extra persons attract a nightly charge as in the table. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving a reason. Weekend nights are Friday and Saturday. Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit is paid and you are notified they are confirmed. Trade cards attract rack rate. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The tariff charged is for domestic use only, not commercial use. This tariff does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear etc... Use contrary to this will result in termination of tenancy. Children and Infants Children are defined as under the age of 12. There is no charge for infants sleeping with their parents or in a cot that are below the age of 2 years. All children are charged at adult rates Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be by email with read receipt, by telephone or in person during business hours. No refund is available for the base rate. The balance may be refundable at our discretion depending on how close to the booked date cancellation accompanied by application for refund is made. Any amount paid is available for an alternative booking date if available. Charges we have incurred are never refundable. Warnings The property is mainly surrouned by low fences. And the road in front of the property has trafic though the property is located in a quiet area. Parents need to keep an eye on their children around the house to prevent hazards. Terms of Rental Young mobile children or others that require supervision must be supervised by an adult. Our properties are not designed for wheel chairs. Full terms of rental are available here |

Facilities for the Elderly and Physically Handicapped The property is not fully wheelchair accessible according to Australian standard AS 1428. It may suit people with limited disabilities depending on whether assistance was available from others in the party. There is a ramp to the back door leading into the laundry. All rooms are otherwise on the same level. The showers have entrance lips, are not suitable for wheel chairs. Shower heads are removable. All door frames are standard size. There are lots of places to explore. Fishing Charter a fishing trip or take a sightseeing tour with "Mr Flathead", a Dodges Ferry local who knows all the best 'hot spots', local bays and beautiful sights of this spectacular area. Surfing Surfing at Park Beach and Carlton Beach. Surf school facilities are available and can be arranged. Golf 3 Golf Courses nearby (Lewisham, Dunalley, Seven Mile Beach). Shopping It is 50 metres to local chemist, butcher, supermarket, bakery, newsagency and post office, hairdressers, natural therapies 12 minutes to Sorell Shopping Plaza and KFC, McDonalds, pizza and other fast food outlets. Places to Explore From Dodges Ferry it is easy to get to the Tasman Peninsula. Port Arthur is 45 minutes away, the Coal River valley region with many Wineries & Richmond Village is only 30 minutes away. From Dodges Ferry you can take in Tasmania's scenic east coast to Orford, Swansea, Bicheno and Coles Bay. Coles Bay is in the beautiful Freycinet National Park where you will find a walk to the lookout to the perfectly shaped Wineglass Bay to the east. From Dodges Ferry you can explore the Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsular where you will find historic ruins, rugged coastlines, Tasman's Arch, the Devils Kitchen, Blow Hole and Remarkable Cave. The airport is only about 20 minutes away and near to it you will find Barilla Oyster farm restaurant and be amazed at the different ways oysters can be served. For fabulous food and quaint antiques, take a short drive to Dunnalley Waterfront Cafe, or Dunnalley's unique fish market. |
